Marni Nixon has one of the world’s best known singing voices.  In her dubbing for Deborah Kerr in The King and I, Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady, and Natalie Wood in West Side Story, she has played an integral role in the creation of some of the highest grossing films and soundtracks in movie history.  Her six decade long career includes Opera, Chamber and Symphony, Oratorio and Grammy-nominated recordings.  She has worked in the classical music world with such music luminaries as Igor Stravinsky, Aaron Copland, Pierre Boulez, Zubin Mehta, Charles Ives and Arnold Schoenberg.  During her extensive career in musical theater, she has sung the works of Kurt Weill, Stephen Sondheim, Rodgers & Hammerstein, George Gershwin, Lerner & Loewe and Jerome Kern.  She has appeared on Broadway in James Joyce’s The Dead, Follies, and Nine.

“I Could Have Sung All Night – My Story” by Marni Nixon, with Stephen Cole; recently published by Billboard Press with a forward by Marilyn Horne, will be available for sale and signing at the end of the class.
