Katherine Keyes, Mezzo Soprano

Mezzo-soprano Katherine Keyes looks forward to a busy fall beginning in September with Rebecca Nurse (Crucible) with Dicapo Opera.  October performances of Alisa (Lucia) with Salt Marsh Opera are followed in November by a reprisal of Crucible in Szgered, Hungary, which will be broadcast by Mezzo Television to 46 countries. 

Having recently sung  a “kindly, expressive” Mamma Lucia (Cavalleria) with Opera Company of the Highlands, she returns in December to portray her favorite role, the Witch (Hansel), previously performed with “delightful, antic abandon”  with NYCO Education Department and Shreveport Symphony.  Broadway credits:  Ensemble Baz’ Luhrmann’s Boheme, Choir Coram Boy.
