Marjorie Kahn enjoyed an early European debut at Venice’s Grand Teatro La Fenice as a Blumenmädchen in a production of PARSIFAL mounted for the 100th anniversary of Wagner’s death.  Since then she has had an ongoing international career spanning over 25 years.  Other European engagements included performances of Fiakermilli in Strauss’ ARABELLA at Cagliari’s Teatro Lirico and later she debuted at Rome’s Teatro dell’Opera and later she debuted at Rome’ Teatro dell’Opera as Norina in DON PASQUALE.

Ms. Kahn appeared with Eve Queler and the Opera Orchestra of New York as Xanthe in Strauss’ DIE LIEBE DER DANAE at Carnegie Hall.  She has performed the roles of Oscar in UN BALLO IN MASCHERA, Musetta in LA BOHEME and Violetta in LA TRAVIATA with Vincent La Selva and the New York Grand Opera.  She sang the title role in LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR with the Treasure Coast Opera in Florida, and toured with the Rochester Opera Theater as Adele in DIE FLEDERMAUS.  In addition Marjorie Kahn has performed with Merrimack Lyric Opera of Lowell, Massachusetts, Southwest Virginia Opera, the Palm Beach Opera and has appeared extensively in concerts throughout North America and Europe.

Ms. Kahn is currently singing the roles of Violetta, Rosina and Carmen for Arts Horizons’ La Piccola Opera.  In addition she performs the title role in the children’s opera LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD at the request of Arts Horizons and the composer Seymour Barab.  Ms. Kahn also ventures into musical theater winning phrase for her portrayal of Carlotta in PHAMTOM OF THE OPERA.  She has worked with conductors  Massimo De Bernard, Gabriele Ferro, Armando Krieger, Stefan Lano, Henry Lewis and Charles Wadsworth; and directors Wesley Balk, Ann Baltz Scott Brumett, Christoph Grosser and Pier Luigi Pizzi.

Ms. Kahn was a winner of the Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition, a finalist in the International Enrico Caruso Voice Competition, a finalist in the McAllister Awards Opera Competition, a finalist in the National Opera Voice Competition, a finalist in the Classical Productions Vocal Competition and most recently a semi-finalist in the Classical Singer Professional Audition Competition.
